Measurement technology
as an important basis for testing in accordance with DGUV V3 (formerly BGV A3 testing)
The testing of electrical machines in accordance with DIN VDE 0113-1 (EN 60204-1) must be carried out regularly by a qualified electrician who is authorized to do so in accordance with the Technical Rules for Operational Safety (TRBS 1203). This is prescribed by law and is part of DGUV Regulation 3, the regulations of the German Social Accident Insurance, DGUV for short, which govern the testing of electrical equipment and systems used in German companies.
According to the DGUV V3 directive, all electrically operated devices, whether stationary or mobile, must be tested regularly.
A regular and professional safety inspection has many advantages. Not only can hazards for employees be avoided, downtime and stoppages due to defective machines can also be reduced.
A machine inspection often consists of many individual tests, which the product standard of a machine specifies in the type and scope of the inspection. If this is not available or cannot be applied directly, the following test steps must always be carried out in accordance with DIN VDE 0113-1.
Such as checking (compliance with technical documentation), checking automatic disconnection, insulation resistance testing, voltage testing, functional testing, evaluation, assessment and documentation, if appropriate also protection against residual voltage.
